For more than 75 years, The Dennis Foundation has awarded scholarships and aid to deserving people within the community it serves. Prior to approaching Appleton Partners, the Foundation was managed by a committee composed of diverse, local professionals. While all had a tremendous commitment to the cause, few had investment experience. The Dennis Foundation recognized that its assets were not being managed within a defined and appropriate investment policy. The Foundation's Board also acknowledged that it needed professional assistance to develop a strategy to help balance today's demands with those of the future. They found that expertise at Appleton. We helped them formulate an investment policy with detailed guidelines and restrictions, and establish a sound strategy for managing the Foundation's assets. Today, we meet regularly with the Foundation's investment committee to review asset allocation, spending rules and budgetary requirements, so the Foundation can continue to satisfy its mission. Appleton understands the Dennis Foundation's need to balance today's gifts with tomorrow's, so that it can perpetuate its good works.
