As 2025 came to an end, Appleton partnered with Christmas in the City to support their efforts bringing joy and holiday cheer to children and families experiencing homelessness and poverty in the greater Boston area. Leading up to the event, Appleton Community Engagement ran a Toy Drive in our Boston office collecting toys, games, and gift cards for the foundation’s event, Jake’s Toy Mania, named in honor of Jake Kennedy, their beloved co-founder, who passed away in 2020. Following completion of the donation drive a group from Appleton volunteered to help set up the space for Jake’s Toy Mania party. Our team visited the space and worked alongside other volunteers to sort and organize hundreds of new toys that would later be distributed to deserving families. Through the event, parents and family were able to visit the space and “shop” for their children. Appleton was thrilled to partner with this amazing organization to help spread joy and foster a sense of community.
