For our third quarter initiative, Appleton Partners Community Engagement program partnered with Catie’s Closet, a non-profit organization that focuses on providing students K-12 with clothing and personal care items through their in-school closet program. Anytime, students can discreetly shop for the items they need in a safe and warm environment within the school. Together, Appleton employees collected personal care items that can be distributed to students while shopping. Also, a group from API spent the morning at Catie’ Closet warehouse in Boston sorting through bags of donated clothing that would be distributed to various closets throughout the Boston area. We learned so much about Catie, her family and how our contributions make a difference for so many local schools to help foster physical, emotional, and mental well-being for their students.
